Who is Michelle Ule, anyway?

I, Michelle, am a “retired” Navy wife who has lived in all four corners of the United States and Hawai’i.

Born and raised in San Pedro, California, I relished my melting pot hometown of many languages and cultures.

Bio page Michelle Ule, UCLA Daily Bruin, Navy, San Pedro, books, Oswald Chambers, Biddy Chambers, Log Cabin Christmas, speaker, NY Times bestsellerSan Pedro prepared me well for a fascinating life traveling the world, meeting people and laughing my way through ridiculous circumstances.

I love history, music, books, reading, my terrific family, amusing friends, travel opportunities and irony.

“Tell me a story,” has been my question since birth. Many people have obliged and expanded my understanding–of everything!

Feel free to tell me one yourself. 🙂

What’s this website about?

I began writing a blog in 2011 as I prepared to launch my first published work.

My desire was to share stories of “God’s fingerprints in everyday life,” because that’s how I live.

Nothing amuses me more than to recognize what seemed to be a problem actually was God revealing a truth.

My blog has segued into storytelling, posts about writing and traveling, introductions to writer friends, and adventures in my research.

In fall 2017, I launched a biography of Mrs. Oswald Chambers. I also participated as an essayist about My Utmost for His Highest in Utmost Ongoing: Reflections on the Legacy of Oswald Chambers.

(Check out my page about Biddy and Oswald Chambers here for more information).

For a more official biography, keep reading.

A New York Times best selling writer, Michelle  Ule  lives in northern California.

A native of San Pedro, California, she has a degree in English Literature from the University of California, Los Angeles.  She marched in the band, and worked as a reporter and  editor for the UCLA Daily Bruin.

As a writer, Michelle’s interested in how people survive difficulties with their spiritual life intact. She focuses on how to live a hope-full life within the context of a hostile society. She’s curious about the why and how, and likes to add ironic twists to her stories.

She’s focused the last five years on writing and researching World War I and Oswald and Biddy Chambers. Her biography of Mrs. Oswald Chambers  released in October, 2017 from Baker

As a longtime amateur genealogist, she’s the self-published author of Pioneer Stock and other family biographies.
